A very well run city in the County of San Diego that has available land and a desire to host the team. The city failed to lure the Padres to town, but was before the pension mess was uncovered and at the same time that the Padres found themselves in their second World Series. <br />The Chargers will be able to talk to the city of Chula Vista if the referendum passes tomorrow. The facility supports the training of athletes in archery, bobsledding, canoeing/kayaking, cycling, feild hockey, luge, rowing, rugby, skiing/snowboarding, soccer, softball, tri-athlon and various paralympic events. An estimated 4,000 athletes a year come to the 155-acre complex to receive the coaching, support, and facilities necessary to compete against the world’s best.<br />The training center is open 7 days a week for self-guided tours.
